GES273 - Putney Plaza - Beacon Tower
One of the main thoroughfares in Putney was having a makeover, and alley of tall apartment blocks. Interested to see London from a different perspective, I offered GE035 a trip out there to finish off the night after other explores. A simple fence hop was made a little tougher by the fact it was on the aforementioned busy thoroughfare, and taxis and delivery vehicles buzzed by almost continuously. Also a taxi firm at the Tube Station across the road had a driver parked next to the fence ready to go. I decided to just go for it, and let GE035 though a convenient door. The building was only 11 stories high, so need for defibrilllators.

The wall of buildings above Upper Richmond Road. red lights on cranes showing other construction sites further down the road. The buildings without lights awaiting the bulldozers and wrecking balls.
The gorgeous golden hour began shortly after we got up. This is looking North, the Empress building in Earls Court stands up in the upper centre of the photo below.
Dawn rises over the central London and buildings in The City of London.
The 'Y' pattern of East Putney station below, and up the slope of West Hill on the horizon.
Across the way another building site, and the mainline train tracks snaking off to Waterloo Station
Finally dawn, and the sun rising next to the London Eye.
The District Line tracks built in 1889, slither around the buildings to Putney Rail Bridge over The Thames. The Empress building hugs the top right corner, the Trellick Tower in Kensal Rise in the centre and the monolith of Charing Cross Hospital on the left.
The now obvious work going on, on the Upper Richmond Road. The two building on the centre left of the Road are due to be demolished.
Tired and unsure of whether workers would be here, we descended and went our separate ways.
